Antariksha - Sanskrit word for the Outer Space, more specifically for the regions between the Earth and Heavens. Incidentally, Messier74 or NGC 628 galaxy is a grand spiral galaxy that can be viewed from Earth, though it is 38 million light years away!
To define, expalin and conceptualize the Outer Space is a perpetual challenge to physicists, astronomers and philosophers alike.
This piece of abstract was done during the time I was being introduced to the concept of the Hindu Vedas.
I realised that there was a lot in common in the conceptualization of Space according to Vedas and in Modern Science
Spiral shape symbolises evolution, life, consciousness, and creation. 
Depicting this abstract enormity on a 30 X 25 cms canvas board….a cosmic challenge!!
